                                    Course Description: Occupational First Aid.

Course Duration: 3 Days (one day a week over three weeks)

Time: 9.30am to5.30pm

Certification: By First Aid Training Service for 2yrs on sucessful completion of Writen & Practical Assessment. Training and Certification accepted by The Health & Safety Authority FETAC Level 5.

Venue: Flannery’ s Best Western Hotel, Dublin Road. Galway. (close to GMIT College and Bon Secour Hospital)

Instructors Qualifications: Certified by the National Ambulance Training School. Irish Heart Foundation & The American Heart Association

Registered with OFAAA.

Accident Assessment. Scene Management. Post Trauma & Stress Disorder. Circulation – Wounds – Bleeding. Fractures –Sprains –Strains –Dislocations. Unconsciousness –Fainting –Head Injuries. Burns –Poisons –Electrocution.Medical Emergencies: Asthma –Diabetes –Epilepsy –Crush Injuries.Revision of Course content and Revision of Practicals.

Heart Attack/Angina/Cardiac Arrest, Cpr and use of a Defibrillator.

Choking–Asphyxia –Airway Obstruction
